Restore supply
Diagnose shortages through hub control, depot inventory, the route to divisional headquarters and the extra demand created by movement and combat.

The supply source is lost
- Check first
- Confirm control of the originating hub.
- What to do
- Restore the connection or withdraw toward available support.
- Success check
- Fresh supply has a viable originating source.
Derived from the official Supply diary and current store; untested operational checklist.
Read the supporting evidence →The depot is losing its last reserves
- Check first
- Inspect stocks and whether fresh supplies can reach the depot.
- What to do
- Reduce demand while opening a route or moving to support.
- Success check
- Check whether deliveries resume after reconnecting the depot; reducing demand alone only slows depletion.

Read the supporting evidence →The depot has stock but my division is short
- Check first
- Trace distance and terrain between depot and headquarters.
- What to do
- Shorten the protected transfer route or bring the force toward support.
- Success check
- Recheck company stocks and division flow; continue only if delivery can meet the reduced demand.
Derived from the official Supply diary and current store; untested operational checklist.
Read the supporting evidence →The armoured spearhead has been cut off
- Check first
- Inspect ground behind the advance and the holding force.
- What to do
- Reopen or shorten the corridor; withdraw if supply cannot be restored.
- Success check
- The advance has a secure connection to supply.
Derived from the official Supply diary and current store; untested operational checklist.
Read the supporting evidence →Supply falls during a sustained advance
- Check first
- Compare delivery with movement and combat consumption.
- What to do
- Reduce activity or return toward a depot to replenish.
- Success check
- Check that stocks and delivery can support the next operation before resuming.
Derived from the official Supply diary and current store; untested operational checklist.

Pause and inspect the whole chain: originating hub, depot stocks, route to headquarters and company demand. Restore a cut corridor or shorten the advance before committing low-supply units to more combat.
§The originating hub is lost#
Confirm control of the hub feeding the network before moving depots. If the source is denied, a nearer depot can still run out because no fresh stock reaches it. Check whether another available route can sustain the force, restore the connection or withdraw toward support.
Do not assume that taking an enemy hub replenishes your own tanks. Check a captured depot and its stocks separately. The hub denial and depot capture mechanics explain why a successful territorial attack can still leave the force short of fuel.
§A depot is empty or encircled#
Inspect depot inventory and replenishment together. An isolated depot can sustain nearby formations temporarily from its existing stock while receiving no new supplies. An apparently supplied pocket can therefore deteriorate later.
Reduce unnecessary movement and fighting while resolving the connection. If the isolated stock keeps falling, restore a route or withdraw before exhaustion. The checklist is an editorial diagnosis derived from the documented flow system, without a fixed depletion timer.
§Stocks exist but the division is short#
Trace the route from depot to divisional headquarters. Distance and terrain lower or improve transfer, so a full depot alone does not prove sufficient delivery to a distant attacking force. Compare the actual support route with the front you are asking it to sustain.
Consider moving supply support closer behind a protected line or bringing the division back toward its depot. Depot establishment and dismantling are immediate during deployment but take time after the mission begins. A threatened site also needs security before shorter distance becomes useful.
§Armour has outrun its support#
A deep armoured penetration needs infantry following to hold the intervening ground. Inspect the corridor behind the advance for enemy pressure and bypassed units. Keep supply support moving behind the secured route as the operation progresses.
If the route closes, continuing deeper can drain fuel and ammunition while weakening the force needed to reopen it. Shorten the operation, restore the corridor or withdraw toward supported ground. Assign a holding force before the next penetration.
§Delivery cannot keep up with activity#
Movement and combat increase consumption. If supply is falling despite an open route, inspect the division flow and company stocks before adding another order. A pause in movement or fighting can reduce demand while the force replenishes.
Check the trend again after reducing activity or moving toward support. Resume a smaller operation only when its route and stocks support it. No universal stock percentage, transfer rate or replenishment time is asserted here.
More detail
1 sections§Hub, depot and headquarters#
Supply represents ammunition, fuel and food held by individual companies. A division overview can expose a net supply deficit even while some companies still have stock. The official diary describes penalties at low supply and attrition and rapid surrender when exhausted.
Fixed hubs bring supplies onto the map; depots store and distribute them. Capturing an enemy hub cuts its original owner off from that source and does not turn it into a supply generator for the captor. Depots can be captured and used in an advance. Treat these two target types differently.
