Reference context
Command relationships from the current store and Army Constructor diary; checks are editorial guidance, without release costs or weight values.
The game models headquarters, regiments, battalions and companies. The constructor allows command relationships to be reorganized and companies to be added or removed. A regimental plan uses your regiment structure to divide responsibility on the map.
Before splitting or merging a formation, ask which command will own the objective, hold the corridor and keep specialists available. Keeping a readable chain helps you judge assignments and inherited officer effects.
Build a deployable army
Build around the next mission: every formation needs leadership, the total must fit its weight allowance, and the attack needs support plus troops that can hold the route.
More detail
3 sections§Complete the command chain#
The army constructor diary requires a headquarters company with an officer for each deployable formation. Check new or reorganized formations for both before reviewing combat strength. The divisional headquarters displays the formation logistical weight, which must fit the current mission allowance.
The starting country determines the initial division. Later recruitment is described as including American, British and Canadian units. Country choice alone does not make a permanent single-country recruitment rule.
§Check functions before increasing numbers#
The initial infantry division is described with infantry, anti-tank guns, artillery, engineers, anti-aircraft guns and headquarters. When adding units, address the function your plan lacks. A bigger assault still needs reconnaissance, fortification support and a holding force.
Separate the jobs of penetration and retention. The attack diary recommends specialized assault and holding formations; the logistics diary explains the infantry follow-up behind armour. Use those roles as a planning checklist without treating them as a costed optimal build.
§Recruit between missions#
Mission completion earns Requisition used for additional companies and formations. Associated historical formations and commanding officers become recruitable after their missions. Review the recruitment options available in your current campaign before planning around a named historical division.
The store describes improving formations with attachments and letting wounded divisions rest. Before buying more striking power, inspect whether the next deployment lacks a commander, support role or ready formation. Exact reward amounts, costs and unlock order require current campaign evidence.
